Protecting your privacy is of utmost important to Appcompanist. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through our Services. Note that all capitalized words used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service, unless we define a term in this Privacy Policy. Please make sure you have read and understand our Terms of Service.

We Do Not Collect Information

Except only for voluntarily provision of email addresses, we do not collect any actual user data as defined as personally identifiable information by US and EU data privacy laws. We do count actual streams of songs for royalty reporting, but that does not include or correlate to any personally identifying information traceable to an individual user and we do not collect user data when counting streams. Since we do not collect your data, we do not share your data with third parties. Your subscription to our Services is managed by your device’s App Provider such as Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store, and you should read and understand their privacy policies.

Information Related to Use of the Services

We record certain information about how a person uses our Services (we refer to this information as “Log Data”). This information is recorded anonymously with no user’s personally identifiable information attached, to collect information about which titles are being streamed.

Information Disclosed for Our Protection and the Protection of Others

We cooperate with government and law enforcement officials and/or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. While we do not collect your data, we may disclose any information you choose to share with us to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate: (i) to respond to claims or legal process (including subpoenas, warrants or court orders); (ii) to protect our property, rights and safety and the rights, property and safety of a third party or the public in general; and (iii) to prevent or stop any activity we consider illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to such websites or services and we are not responsible for the content, privacy or security practices and policies of those websites or services. Opt-In

You may elect to opt in to receive periodic e-mails and other communications that directly promote our Services. When you provide your email address, it is only used for these promotional purposes and is stored separate from the Services. You have the right to request deletion of your e-mail address. Any instance governed by this Privacy Policy in effect at the time of the instance. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting them on the Services and we’ll update the “Updated Date” above to indicate when those changes will become effective. We will provide notice of any material updates to our Privacy Policy, but you should check this policy periodically to stay current on all updates.
